NATIONAL STAR, (NAICS 238340) around the Air Mobility Command (AMC) Museum Flagpole
MC replaced the existing tile area, the NATIONAL STAR, (NAICS 238340) around the Air Mobility Command (AMC) Museum Flagpole at Dover Air Force Base under Contract # FA4497-14-C-0006. MC provided all labor, tools, materials, personnel, facilities and incidentals necessary to accomplish the replacement of the tiled area to include removal and disposal of existing tile.  The approximate size is 31’ x 31’ round area.  We took steps to lessen future maintenance. To prevent future cracking and loss of adhesion of the tiles, MC used a modified exterior thin set to set the new tile insignia pattern and use matching color epoxy grout. The epoxy grout sealed the joints from water and stains and does not require resealing. The installation of a polyurethane sealant around the outside perimeter prevents water from getting between the newly laid tiles and the concrete slab. HUBZone Set Aside. Reference: Christina E.
