Construction Supervisor


Mountain Consulting, Inc. is a growing construction and engineering company. We are looking for talented people to join our team. MCI has an immediate opening for an experienced Construction Superintendent. The Construction Superintendent completes organizational and project management responsibilities to effectively lead their team. The Construction Superintendent is a team leader who manages project schedules, monitors Construction Workers’ progress, coordinates inspections, and maintains all equipment and supplies. Mountain Consulting, Inc. is seeking motivated candidates for construction projects performed for a variety of public agencies and private clients. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of workers, including work schedules, project progress, and resource allocation
  • Create cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials, and other project costs
  • Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, and other construction management to determine budget and timeline
  • Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and supplies
  • Assist with hiring additional subcontractors and assign work accordingly
  • Maintain a daily log of the job site operations, reporting to management as necessary
  • Make changes in the daily operations as necessary to best meet construction timelines
  • Implement management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient
Qualifications/Required Attributes
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 5-10 Yrs. Experience
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing, speaking, and active listening
  • Thorough knowledge of construction budgeting best practices
  • Understanding of construction equipment, including safe operating practices and signs of maintenance issues
  • In-depth understanding of local, state, and federal construction regulations
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Effective leadership abilities including motivation, goal-setting, and conflict management
  • Organizational skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
